I have recently noticed a growing trend in designer fashions for men, and, not being a trendsetter from , mens fashion trends have me a bit confused. The reason is it involves the three dreaded subjects of clothes, fashion and shopping. Let me clarify this a little...
Do you love to shop? Well, if your answer is an emphatic YES, then you must be female. Or are you? One thing I've noticed these days is that some men are into clothes. This is rather puzzling to me since I don't get excited over suits and fancy shoes. What happened folks? Sometimes I think the genders are changing so drastically that soon we won't be able to tell them apart.
I mean come on, designer fashion - for men? What does this even mean? Well, regardless of if you're one of these contemporary males who are in to clothes, or if you're still waiting for fashion to get back to your era, the fashion industry is still making a killing. There simply isn't enough room in my household for another fashion nut! Seeing as I live with three females, I try my best to stay out of it. Come on men what's hanging in your closet?
Are you a modern-day man who loves to go all out when it comes to clothing? Now I'm not mocking you if you are, but, I simply can't see the appeal of designer clothes, maybe it's because I grew up in an outdoor type of environment and clothes were never anyone's priority out there. In my house we were all dressed in two minutes flat. However, these days things are not so quick. While I still stick to T-shirts and jeans, my better half is a fashion nut. She goes crazy over clothing every time we hit the local shopping centre. This goes the same for our teenage daughter. Of course that's to be expected since they are females living in a fashion-based society. I laugh at my wife when she makes fun of my old T-shirts and jeans, but then tells me that designer clothes are is kind of feminine. Hey, which way does she want it? Women still crave that manly man at heart, but for some reason they want us to dress nice on occasion. Personally I don't think that men's designer fashions were the best of ideas for our society. Heck, men are already wearing double earrings, loads of other jewellery, and sometimes make-up. What is going on? How are we going to be able to tell the sexes apart? And now we have all these men in designer clothing on top of it. Things are getting out of hand. With the males getting shorter and the women growing taller, pretty soon the fairer sex will be the protectors.
Anyway, is anyone still interested in men's designer clothes? If you are a fashion nut, you can always delve into cyberspace for the latest trends. As for the dwindling bred of 'normal' men... our wives tend to do a good job of picking out our own "mens designer fashion", don't they?
